The female quail in our butterfly house has not laid an eggs for about a 2 weeks now and we only ever see her at feeding time which is around 5pm. We used to see her all day with her boyfriend but now he walks around alone. I tried to trick her by feeding them in the morning and seeing here she came from but she did not come our to eat but everyone else did. Does this sound like she could be sat on eggs somewhere in the butterfly house. These quails are diffrent ones to the guys I raised as these are adult quail. Thanks from tom

Sorry Tom I missed this one!
Any developments, has she hatched any chicks that you can see? It's not very common for quails to hatch a brood but it does happen if conditions are right, and the butterfly house sounds a good environment for her to raise a brood.
Have your own chicks gone to their new homes yet, and what are you doing with the ones you were going to keep, I wonder?

She has not had any chicks that we can see but there is a lot of cover for them in the butterfly house and my chicks are going to their home today and tomorrow. I'm not keeping any chicks as my mum has a fear of birds so would not let me. Thanks from Tom

Well done, anyway, for hatching and rearing your brood so successfully, couldn't have been better. I expect you will miss them.
I thought at one point you were going to put a couple of your own chicks into the butterfly house?
