Something interesting we have found.

From time to time, we like to handle our CPQ and we have found that they really enjoy being 'swaddled' in towelling. We found this out after bathing one of our girls to help her pass an egg and we wrapped her in a sheet of terry towelling to keep her warm after her bath. To our surpise, she closed her eyes and started to relax.

Now, whenever one of our bevy gets a bit stressed, we take them out and wrap them in some towelling and cuddle them.

They really enjoy it and even protest when we move them from the towel. :)

That's a great idea. Have you read any if the work by Temple Grandin, the animal behaviourist with Asperger's, who found she was calmed by being wrapped in a ort of body pressure machine, and then tried it on other animals and found it effective?
And there's Tellington Touch, a method of animal massage that relies on pressure points to calm animals.
Do they like the towel warmed first?

We warm the towels when they are sick but generally any kind of towelling makes them sleepy. They look so darn cute when they're all cuddled up in the towel with just their heads showing.
