I put up a post under this title and was grateful for the advice given in answer. Thought I would put up some images to explain my broody coop and where my girls and Henry live. They have a marvelous life strolling around the estate and keep us entertained all day.

What lucky chickens. Thank you for posting these lovely photos. I think 'When is dinner?'' Would make an excellent alternative caption competition! Henry is a very handsome fellow as well.

I am lucky enough to have the space for them all to run free. The broody coop is made from the old hen house and my grand daughters old swing frame. Nearly broke my back making it but it works! To replace the old hen house, I bought a new shed last summer which we have by the house, they all pop into it to lay eggs and go to roost. So I am keen for the new chook to copy them before it's mum has the new chicks.
