Welcome, Clucking Grandpa.

I got my first French Marans in September. She's just started squatting, so hopefully I'll be getting some lovely dark brown eggs in the nex couple of months.

When you hear old-timers on the formum talk about dark brown eggs by the way, don't be surprised if you detect a whiff of memory- it was the forum name of a lovely lady who specialised in Marans hens. If you're interested in Marans', do a search for "dark brown eggs" and you should find lots of old threads to browse through.
