Regrettfully I have to part with my peafowl pair, due to several factors.
They are now middle aged but the female is laying more eggs than before.
The male is lame but otherwise healthy. They will require an aviary at least 30ft square with a covered perch (with a soft landing area)about six foot off the ground.
In a way the male being lame is an advantage because it means you can put any other smaller birds or animals in the aviary with them and he won't be able to chase them about. Not that he normally chases other things, (and the female only bothers hens with chicks, and then she doesn't hurt them. She's just fascinated by them.) but you never know.
Please please any takers?
