More of my chickens living on Ireland's west coast

Thank you for your kind comments about the photos of my chooks. Here are some more. I have had chooks since 2011, given as a birthday gift, and have loved every moment, except when two dogs attacked them, twice. Henry lost his tail feathers, Lizzie lost most of her bum feathers (we found her head first in a bush) Annie and three of the new chicks were killed. We found the owners of the dogs who were dismayed and gave us money to buy new chooks. Who would have thought chickens would enhance your life so much? I have spent most of today out in the garden with them trying to sort out Henry and the new chick whose mum has gone broody again. (see my post Pullet and broody mum).

Cracking photos Margaret. We have good friends in Feakle, Co. Clare where we holidayed for many years. Nearly moved over but it was when the Euro was introduced and house prices then went sky high. After just 6 months we just couldn't afford it. Know the West Coast well, a beautiful place.
