[emoji23][emoji23] make sure you divide it fairly!

Many years ago, I lived in the American South West - mountain desert country. A friend of ours had an apple orchard - not the easiest of businesses in an area so dry, and at such a high altitude (about 6,500 feet). One year, after a late, severe frost they got a harvest of 2 apples. He estimated that those apples, which they ate on their way back to the house, were worth $7,000 each!

I hope they tasted what they cost... many years ago a friend lost most of his apple crop because of a hail storm.

Who gets to eat it? Or are you going to pickle it for posterity?

We already have a jar of pickled eggs...well half a jar.. :)10 we have discussed this problem, the wife found it, but I was holding the coop door open..   so we've come to an agreement over a snifter or two of falling down liquid last night that the most expensive egg we've ever had will go into a cake this week. :)17

It looks all of 40 grams to me. You might need a few more - unless you’re making one cupcake.

Funny that we did weigh it....50 grams :)17

That’s pretty good for a first egg. She should be up to 80-90 grams by Easter!
You could make an egg chart to see how the weights develop and who has laid.

That sounds like a brilliant idea :)17 never thought of that.....we've decided how the first egg will be celebrated.....the wife is cooking a stir fry tonight and the £400 egg is going to star in a "Chinese omelette" :)99

Well done, enjoy the egg, are you going to enrobe it in gold leaf, like the steaks at that restaurant in London
