Loss of feathers

my father is in his 70`s and has been keeping ducks and chickens for a few years now, he got a turkey last year to raise for chrimbo but it became part of the family so its now a pet.
over the last couple of weeks it has started to loose feathers from its chest, should my father be worried or not ?

You don't say what sex it is, but no need to worry if it is male. Stags usually look like that at this time of year. They tend to moult and re-feather earlier than most poultry.
