Is my cockerill ok?

Just noticed these white patches around his neck and body, and he just seems a little more grey looking than normal. Hes acting fine, eating, mating, digging and wondering. Stands on one leg often. Just not sure why he seems a little more dull in colour and these white patches have appeared. I think they are visible in my brown hen too. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like the white patches are at the bottom of the feathering. This soft feathering forms their insulation layer and it is normally much paler than the main feathers, white being quite normal. You may also see some white feathering develop in successive years after a new moult. This is also not unusual.
