haha Marigold, you little ones are certainly looked after ! Mind you, they are such nice birds aren't they?

Yes, I lost the quail due to fights. So looking at the all-female option this time. I also would like to leave the initial housing as is, and I have just bought a large well-made robust kennel (just needs a new bottom, a snip for £10!!) which can be a semi-detached des-res, with runs at either end....just drafting some plans and applying for planning permission!!!! so to speak..

Do you know of a good source of new young birds or eggs if hatching your own? If Aldershot isn't too far away, you could try Sarah Barratt who wrote Practical Quail Keeping. She usually has some for sale and they will be good birds. Pm me if you would like her contact details.
