I can see them now as well. the gremlin has gone to bother someone else.

A photo of the Lancaster from the BBMF going over us en route to Eastbourne Air show. OH positioned herself just right and waved madly in the field and she got a wing waggle from the crew.

We had quite a few planes going over as many were based at North Weald for the Weekend, so we had a three day mini airshow, and the main event on Saturday

The other photo is a favourite moment of ours from the show on Saturday. The Typhoon FGR 4 "Blackjack" displaying with the BBMF Spitfire. For a small camera with no fancy lenses OH does a good job

Some cheery pics of our Diamond Wedding anniversary yesterday. Tony and I had a really amazing day with our lovely family and friends. One of our daughters made an incredible cake, with all the many activities we’ve been involved in over the years - in fact it was two cakes, she couldn’t get it all on to just one. The two people are based on early photos of me and Tony, age 16, when were at school together, and the little girls in the tent are our two daughters when we all went on bird ringing trips to Radipole Lake in the 1970s. Cassandra, who made the cakes, is the one sucking her thumb.

There were lots of cards and messages, including one from a very unexpected person, although this didn’t arrive until today - presumably one of the horses on the Royal Mail Coach cast a shoe and that delayed it.

So it WAS the Lancaster that flew over my glass studio at the weekend. I thought it looked and sounded like one!!
That's an added bonus of big Velux windows...

Not sure where you are, but nothing else looks or sounds like it. Thursday it went from home RAF Coningsby -Eastbourne, via Duxford, with the Catalina as escort from Duxford to North Weald, then over the fields at Upminster she was joined by the Hurricane and Spitfire. Then after the display they returned to Southend where they operated from for the weekend along with the Red Arrows and Typhoons

Whatever floats your boat - lucky people to be able to live in a house they really love. I don't have television and my fridge isn't in the kitchen either - but that's where any similarity stops!!!!

It doesn't look welcoming or cosy and lived in though. We are more a cosy cottage type of people

The bathtubs must be a nightmare to get in and out of.

Quite agree BYM. Don't fancy polished concrete floors either - the cats would be sliding all over the place and as for what happens to anything one drops ...
