Ancona Chicks

Hi all,

Photos of my 3 little Ancona chicks Tilly, Tom & Tiny (as named by my daughters).
Obviously still to early to know whether they are pullets or roosters so there may be a name change or adjustment at some point soon

On the photos, with the 3 of them, they are approximately 3 1/2 weeks old (now 4 1/2 weeks). The one with Tiny on her own, closer to 2 1/2 weeks to 3 weeks old.

I can't get over how fast they grow and change... Pretty much on a daily basis...

Just this week lost my last Ancona girl - nearly 5.
Loved her to bits, just be prepared for the noise, though if you have not had Anconas before, great layers, and forever telling everyone off. She was still laying when she died.

Ah thank you and sorry to hear this about your girl Ancona... I must admit they are quite noisy as little chicks already... They all seem to want to show off their flying skills as well. They are very friendly though and quite cheeky to be fair. We have been handling them every day since they hatched pretty much...

Wow how they have changed. I adore their pattern and colouring. Look at cock a doodle dandy, standing like a prized specimen. Gorgeous.
