I'm rarely on the forum these days, but just stuck my head in for a look!
Storm Babet, thankfully, I only caught the edge of it. We had a lot of rain, but in my area, no flooding thankfully. Some places not too far further west of me caught it really badly, with rivers bursting their banks...
Sounds like an excellent day, Hen-Gen. Our Summer, after the heatwave in June, has turned out quite wet and windy, although temps are OK- averaging 18-20C.
Tbh, the problem isn't so much that they eat the plants, it's that they just scratch them out of the ground! The only things (besides nettles & thistles) that thrived in my chicken pen was willow trees. The hens used to all camp out in the shade of the trees every Summer.
