A company called The Neem Team www.theneemteam.co.uk is supplying Neem extract based products (using the elements within Neem which are insecticidal or vermicidal) for controlling lice and fleas in pets, livestock, poultry and humans. The Neem tree extracts are non-toxic and I have found their sheep-based Neem to be excellent in preventing fly-strike (usually horrible chemicals are needed) and eliminating lice in a hill pony, so now plan to use their neem and herbal products for the poultry and my dogs too. A very helpful person runs the company and is happy to advise on which products to use on different animal species.
Thanks for posting this. It's always useful to have an organic, or at least non-nasty-chemical alternative for dealing with pests.
