Newbie

Post by martinnichole423 » Wed Jul 10, 2019 4:43 am

I recently adopted a baby duckling. Not sure how old it is. I believe it has flees. I can see something black crawling in between her feathers. She is a wild duckling. I had picked her up and tried to give her back to momma and the mom struck at the baby and left with her other baby's. So now here i am. I need some advice.

Hi! You have come to the right place. I wrote this guide for people in your situation.

As for the fleas.... you can either comb them all out with a mascara brush (clean one) or if they are really bad it may need a trip to the vet for some flea treatment.

Fantastic article, DDO. I learned such a lot from it. I hope Martin will be able to keep us updated on how his duckling gets on - it sounds a full-time job to me!
