Post by thumper » Tue Mar 12, 2013 3:33 pm

Hi all,

My name is Mathieu, 34 soon, I live in France, next to Lyon, I raise the last few years already, Sebright chickens in 3 varieties, Silver, Gold and Isabel.
Excuse my way of speaking English rather mediocre, but I will try to respond better to your message,
For pictures of my breeding, here's a web link: http://elevagedusoleym.e-monsite.com/

Sincerely,

Mathieu

Wonderful, to have a Matthew and a Mathieu., joined at the same time, from so far apart! Truly, chickens are an international way to make friends. Welcome, Matieu, and thank you for posting your link. Your English is excellent, much better than my French. Your Sebrights look beautiful in any language.

Welcome to the forum Mathieu (and Matthew). We are now exploring the region West of Toulouse. Your English is better than my French at the moment, but I am improving and intend to join a French Poultry site soon. Problem with translation is it cannot be done literally. For example 'the home of happy chickens' is not 'le domecile des poulets heureaux' but is 'au bonheur des poules' which translates back as 'a happy place for chickens'.

Hello, and thank you both,

@ Chrismahon: I'm on the French forum "the happiness of chickens" ("au bonheur des poules" )for many years, or even one of the older members,
the atmosphere is very friendly, with lots of support, geneticists confirmed ....
My purpose in participating in a English site is to share your experience and mine, and also to improve my English.
I can help you to find members who are willing to help you with a shipment of eggs, if necessary.

Mathieu.
