Hi There, Can anyone help me out here?
I have two ganders who do not seem to be retracting their penis correctly after mating. Is this normal? Yesterday I noticed my favourite gander was bleeding from his rear end and his penis was protruding and very sore/bleeding. I can only assume that it didn't retract before another goose/gander nipped at it. I separated both him and his mate for 24 hours to give it a chance to heal. Today the tip is still protruding although the bleeding has stopped but I have noticed that another one of my drakes seems to have the same problem. Does anyone else have any experience of this? and what should I do apart from separate them until its healed?
