I know this wont be everyones cup of tea but for anyone out there who might like a noisy jazz/rock/Jpop fusion,
Shiina Ringo's 'Shouso Strip' and 'Karuki Zahmen Kiri No Hana' albums are sublime genius!!!

Quit right Tweetypie - wildly off topic even for the Dustbath. It was one of those moments when I just had to tell someone and - well there you go!
... In for a penny. In for a pound: Discovered Shiina from the end credits track of 'Miss Hokusai' which is also an awesome film!

Well as someone who thinks Jazz/Funk is the reason for existence I can’t wait to hear them.

Been on Amazon. Got ‘Shikoku No Jinsei’ on its way. On your head be it! :D

Wow! but not sure what is on its way to you Hen-Gen as the closest I could find was "Shijō no Jinsei" (至上の人生, "A Life Supreme").
When I downloaded it from Amazon it was a nice little xylophone track - nice but not very funky! :-)19 But then what I downloaded doesn't seem to be what it should be either.

I'll drop this now (I'm a bit worried that the 'next up' on youtube in the last link was probably the nurse's outfit number (rather brilliant though as a performance ) and Marigold may be considering the eject button :)
But just before -

This is from the album Hizurutokoro which I wasn't sure I liked at first but its growing on me strongly. Never was into the the 50's/60's big band club style jazz thing that i think she gets a lot of her inspiration from (many other places too, obviously.) My ulterior motive is learning Japanese as I have a hopeless memory for phrases but picking apart these lyrics and listening I'm starting to hear the odd piece of sentence where I'm surprised by some understanding.
