I had to listen to it again - especially with a funeral in mind!

Ah, Rawhide. I remember my dad coming into me and my brothers bedroom on school days and singing “Head em up, move em out, move em out, head em up Rawhide”

I’m afraid that early exposure to Landburgher Gessler has left me with an ambivalent attitude to obese people. It’s not funny and it’s not clever. Well actually ........................!

I just looked up the info on the TV series William Tell and found it was filmed in Snowdonia around Llyn Padarn, and Sid James and Michael Crawford each appeared in one episode.
BTW I have Thunderbirds as a ringtone on my phone, yes it does the full 5-4-3-2-1 bit.

On the Youtube link to the Robin Hood song, I liked the comment giving a new version of the words and providing a lovely mental image of Rick;
"Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of hens...."

The Lone Ranger, Casey Jones, Rawhide, Bonanza, The Adams Family, and the Munster's I could go on
Bronco Layne, Wyatt Earp and Maverick!. I had a serious crush on Ty Hardin who played Bronco Layne probably because it was one of the first television programmes I saw. My father rented a television in time for my 7th birthday party and we all sat on the floor to watch it!
