Broody Runners

Postby RustyMac » Thu Aug 29, 2013 12:16 pm

Hello all,
I am new to the forum this morning. I have three female runners and one drake. For the past two days one of the females has been sitting on a clutch of about 10 eggs. Today I notice that a second female sitting with her side by side on the nest. Is this usual practice ?

welcome :)

In short, yes nest sharing is quite common :)

Are you planning on letting them sit and hatch the babies?

Thank you Zo, they seem to be quite happy sharing so I'm not going to interfere. :D
