Just ordered some Burford Browns for delivery in Spring , are there any other keepers ?

Not currently keeping Burford Browns though they're beautiful and I've always admired them.

I've recently got a copper black French Marans. She should lay dark brown eggs too. Out of interest, are you getting them "posted"? When I was researching for my new flock, I was astonished to find that pullets by post is now on offer in the UK

I live in Cheshire but plan for a day out to collect when they are ready

I think that's a much better idea. There aren't many places that still sell pullets at this time of year; you did well to find someone.
