Re: Carriers

In remote areas, or addresses "too far" from the delivery depot the excuses can be quite fantastic. Maybe we ought to pool all the excuses we've been given and publish a little book! Tweetypie it is not beyond some unscrupulous drivers to "sign" your name. Those horrible hand held things they have n...

Re: Drought conditions

If I ever try building a house again, or went mad and did a major restoration, I'd have a proper "grey water" system installed and an integrated rainwater harvesting system with underground tank and dual pipe work so it can be used for flushing loos. Chris probably knows better than I do how they wo...

Re: Drought conditions

In a small town not far from me they have built an estate of "eco" houses. Talking to one of the residents he said they have rain-water harvesting but surprisingly not "grey water". Re: Drought conditions

Thank you are for your concern. It came back on with very reduced flow in the early hours and now seems to be back to normal, but a friend a mile away across town had no water at 8 am. There is an access point just up the road where they can add or subtract water from the system. If they add it from...

It now transpires they have a serious leak (having just caused havoc relaying the water main) and it has dr...

Re: How did she know?

I remember you telling us about the attack on poor little Poppy. :( It's interesting that Trog didn't like the schnauzer either. Maybe that's doubled the ability to detect the dog while Poppy is in your garden! 8-)

Re: How did she know?

I believe dogs have very acute hearing so maybe Poppy recognised the clicking of the claws on the pavement, but maybe she's just psychic! 8-)

He didn't. His tutor kicked him out at the end of his first term because he acted like a total chough.
