Hi Joanne I have rubber sheeting on the floor of the coop and on top of that I use dust extracted Raviera rape straw (horse bedding) on the floor. Its easy to pick up the poop when wearing gloves, or use a small trowel like Icemaiden mentioned. Once in a while, I remove the rubber sheet and hose it ...

That's good news. Have you seen the offenders trying to peck the other hens with the bits on? I hope it's a long term success and they also "forget" to peck the others when the bits fall off :-)
