Re: Allergy....aarrrgghhh!!!

If at all possible try to get someone else to look after your birds for a fortnight. Don't go anywhere near them or the run. That will be the best way of eliminating or proving that it is dust/chicken dander that is causing your symptoms. The problem with masks is that unless they are good and fit w...

Re: Decathlon

I see they had a generic response they put out on twitter to the tune of, "this wasn't intended for the UK, we don't sell this product in the UK, we have taken it down, each company operates as a separate business, we are committed to the environment blah blah" I would have thought the market for th...

Re: Online Fraud

I don't know if you don't have a mobile out of principle or because of poor coverage up there HenGen but they are useful as added security for anything you are doing online. I had a PayPal problem where they suspended my account due to suspicious activity and now I have added one time passcode verif...

Not the first time we have seen an impacted gizzard and usually you expect to find a lot of fibrous material that has caused the blockage but in this case when we cut it open it was just a brown mush with a few seeds, it looked lik...

Not a closet mod are you Rick?. When we first got back to the UK from Turkey, they put us up in London at the Premier Inn at Euston. We went for a walk down to regents park, it was remembrance Sunday and the place was absolutely choc a bloc with Mods with their Vespas and Lambrettas, all the mirrors...

Re: Help to design my new chicken project - Thanks

Regarding the base, I was thinking that removing the base would help waste drain to ground and control smells etc. It will be next to a neighbours garden so I want to be as good a neighbour as possible. The best way to keep your neighbours on side is to give them half a dozen eggs every fortnight, ...

Re: Burning a hole in your pocket!.

Yeah, perhaps I'm just over cautious too. Looking forward, the future (economically speaking) looks utterly bleak to me.

I hope he is going to play the Wurzels in his cab while he breaks it in.

Re: Help to design my new chicken project - Thanks

Hi Matthew I'd echo what Icemaiden and BYM said. I'd also advise you not to get two chickens, get three, it will save you a lot of trouble if one of your chickens happens to die in the early stages of your chicken keeping, which is not uncommon. I think we have always recommended 2sqm per bird in ru...
