Oh dear Chris! I thought you'd moved over there for an easy life!!!! Did you take any photos of the TNN's when they were chicks? Very interested to see what they look like at that age. Looks like you'll have to buy your traditional French woodburner from uk and probably pay a greatly inflated price ...

I put a thick layer of newspaper on the house floor and take out all the droppings and damp paper daily, putting fresh paper in if needed. Congratulations on your first eggs! I wish I had some 'real eggs'! I can't remember when any of mine laid any, must be at least 2 months! I refuse to buy any from the supermarket though!

It's only in the run, not in the house luckily! There is airflow because we've left the area under the eaves open. Most of the sides are enclosed with clear plastic corrugated sheeting, as we do in the winter, but remove in the spring/summer, but there is still airflow through the gate. As you say, ...

Problem with onduline roofing

I seem to have a problem developing with the black onduline roofing in my covered run! There is airflow near the roof, but there are lots of white patches developing, some furry white patches! Condensation does develop on the inside of this, which I don't understand either, but now these white patch...

Marigold, I'm not quite sure whether that expression in the last photo is saying 'I'm really disappointed with that!' or 'just go away and leave me alone with my new toy!'

My dogs enjoyed ripping up all the paper more than playing with what was inside!
