The 4 little chicks born in the week commencing the 9th July have grown so fast! The three anconas are called Tilly, Tom and Tiny - Tom being a rooster :-) And the red one is Peckford (we thought it was going to be a boy at first but we were wrong,... Hi Hip Chick, We had 8 eggs in total for our 4 hens who had gone broody all at once... And although 3 of the hens were absolutely perfect with the little chicks, the fourth hen was quite violent, to the point that the other girls who had clearly tried and protect the chicks at first were staying out...

Well he's about 5 1/2 weeks old,... Actually, what age should I feed the chicks / chicklets chick crumbs til? Have I got to switch to growers pellets soon?

Hi Marigold. Yes maddening is about the way I would put it,... ah ah :-) Well after 2 weeks away on holiday, I have come back to completely different chickens,.. I thought that I wouldn't find them that much changed because my daughter had sent plenty of photos and videos,... but wow how wrong could I be??? Peckford used to be the smallest one and now he/she's ...
