Ok in Notts. Was very windy on Friday, beautiful yesterday and rain all day today, so far. Pleased nobody suffering from the storms.

Re: What do you think of these ducks???

I've heard they don't need a pond, but it would be a deam to have...

Re: Alpecin layers' pellets?

Hey Tufty 900 eggs, that's some act to follow. I doubt I will reach that figure. I like to placate my humans during this "bald patch", by giving them a double yolked egg once a fortnight. Seems to keep them happy. My Mum stole some sweetcorn from the farmers field. She boils it until soft before giv...

I adore the call ducks. I'd love a couple of those, but don't have a pond. Yours look beautiful.

Re: Video about introducing new chickens.

Interesting video. His two existing hens are the same type as my new hens. The opposite happened with my mine. I think that because Barbie and Cindy were smaller hens, didn't have "proper" beaks to peck hard and were possibly used to many other hens squabbling in the battery barn, that they just had...

Re: Alpecin layers' pellets?

Dear Tufty friend, its Cindy here, I empathise with you. I caught sight of myself in one of those things my parents look our of and thought it was Horace hedgehog staring back, but it was me. I am keeping my distance from Mabel and Miss Muffet as they look like posh birds, with their fabulou...

Re: What if English were phonetically consistent?

Wow, that's so true Marigold. When you think about it, most of these words could not be taught. It would be a case of learning them "parrot fashion", as and when they are used. Cough, dough, bough..... My OH is Dutch, although he not lived there for 50 odd years. In some words with a "th" he pronoun...
