Re: broiler birds

Are broilers a special sort of bird? I know the Sussex is supposed to be good to eat (no, Skye, we won't) but ours was pretty scrawny at 18 weeks when we got her. My daughter calls them Frankenchickens. The way hybrid layers are bred from certain strains for prolific egg laying, but they tend to be...

Re: broiler birds

Hi Lisa I wouldn’t want you to think that no one is answering your question. People here are invariably helpful. Having said that I have absolutely no experience of broilers as I only keep/breed birds for eggs. My birds are taken off heat at 6 weeks of age. I would think that at this age at this ti...

Re: Weather

That is grim, Mrs Biscuit. If it's cold, at least we can wrap up warm. But in heat like that, there's not a lot to be done.

Re: Weather

Gorgeous, gorgeous day! Sunny and warm, but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy being out and doing stuff. Dau came with the two little boys, I I surprised her with a bbq lunch. We ate outside, played with the boys, and then she and the baby went for his nap in my bed, and I took the 3yr old for a wa...

Re: Favourite Car

There's a Ska Festival every Summer (but not this year, obviously!) in a small coastal town near me. All middle aged mods, with beautiful scooters. There's a scooter club too.

Re: Weather

Whoop! It's not raining! I have laundry hanging outside, with some hope of getting it dry! The forecast says that the rainfall has "eclipsed" the previous records. And there's more rain forecast for next week. But TODAY is nice.

Re: Favourite Car

Of course, I remember now. But how did you find that on Google if you don’t know the name to search for? If anyone is interested in unimaginable pain and tragedy read the account of her life in Wikapeodia. I searched "death- scarf caught in car wheels" [emoji846] Sent from my Moto G Play using Tapa...
