Re: Not quite an Osprey

Fantastic photo. When OH saw Snowy Owl reported from your neck of the woods on Birdguides Hen -Gen she wondered if you would get to see it. We saw one a good few years ago at Felixstowe docks, where it had a wonderful time catching rodents. That particular one was one of 4 that got caught in a storm...

Re: Hope you are all ok?!

Hope you are soon on the mend Lady A. Tonsillitis is pretty nasty.
Christmas puds made here on Friday.
After the poor effort the rain made during the day, we got a right soaking in the night and the brook overflowed into the lake, so the ducks and geese are swimming around most happy today

Re: Hope you are all ok?!

Enjoy the G & T Hen -Gen. Glad you have sunshine. You have had quite a bit of dodgy weather recently. Glad everyone is ok, especially the parts of Wales and Portugal that have suffered with various weather systems Weird weather in the South East, hot with a warm wind, rather like being in a thermal wind tunnel. The promised downpour all day today has seen patchy light rain on and off. Glad it was on...

Re: Wet droppings (grey green)

If a hen doesn't get well we usually cull it, after all they can't tell us if they are a...

Re: "Shetland in a box?"

"Places" also gets strong to gale force gusts as well.
The Isle of Man never gets a mention so I guess they have a complete lack of weather.
Quite like the sound of Peoples Republic of Shetland. You could have your own flag, currency and National Anthem
