Re: nature notes

We once stayed in a holiday cottage that had about 30 stuffed mice all in clothes posed in human situations around the place, very weird. Went to a stately home somewhere that had a fox upright in the games room holding the snooker cues. Using your husband as an umbrella stand is moving on up from t...

Re: Wedding Vows

Thats a good practice Hen-Gen, and if Sea Eagles come back to your part of the world .....

Re: Egg shape and size

Cindy is a real stunner and very regal looking. We have had eggs like yours from our older girls now and then. We find that we get the odd soft egg when it has been really hot, cools down and it's all back to normal. I know all that garden and they home in on the one area you don't want them to go. ...

Re: nature notes

Nice article in Birdwatching this month about a couple who bought a property and noticed that the field next door was used by a garden centre to grow wild flowers for the seed then the ground was left and they noticed Turtle Doves regularly coming down to feed on it. So they got in touch with the ga...

Re: nature notes

Well said also HG. Along a lane not to far from us a lovely cottage was for sale with several acres including a lovely orchard. New people moved in, orchard felled, the gorgeous wisteria covering a pergola gone. The rough meadow full of flowers and butterflies grubbed out and concreted so they can p...
