Re: Oops didn't think to check how many

I don't know what to do with them to be honest. If they were normal they'd all be able to escape and live their lives like the others did last year. How ever only 3 have that colouring to blend in. The others as you can see are 6 of one and half a dozen of the other :D I do have a problem with one t...

Oops didn't think to check how many

Hi evryone. Been a while but a traumatic one. I haven't posted since last year so am back again. Some of you may remember George and Davina. White Bibbed call and an abandoned yellow duckling who grew to be a beautiful white female duck. Well things have moved on since then. Davina hatched 2 eggs wh...

chicks hatched and a grumpy father

WOOHOO! Davina's chicks finally hatched yesterday. Well 2 of them anyway. She laid 14 but only 2 have hatched in the the last 24 hours. My question is, what about the other 12? :-)09 Next, George, her partner stays close to her but when ever the ducklings are close he pecks at them in a not very nic...

Re: Davinas' Laid Eggs

WOOHOO!

It only took her 14 days but she's now happily sitting. No idea if they are fertilized but Davina and George have been hard at it.

1 question, if the eggs aren't viable. Will she abandon them?

Davinas' Laid Eggs

Hi all, been a while but the bad weather never came to Staffordshire. So the ducks are fine. Was windy though, funny watching them get blown of their feet when they were snoozing (in what they thought was a quiet corner) http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee483/David_Wainman/WP_20140223_003_z...

Re: Hello all. Meet Davina and George (Page 2)

Thanks very much. I like doing posts and pics.

Although, like many other forums, there's always the odd problem.

But as yet nothing that causes to much concern. Just curiosity on the little ones :D

Hello all. Meet Davina and George (Page 1)

Hi everyone. I'm Dave and these are my 2 ducks, Davina (formally known as Little Dave) and George. The story behind them is this. My wife who has an allotment just around the corner was digging as you do when one of the other gardeners shouted over. She went round and found a a little yellow ducklin...

Hello all. Meet Davina and George (Page 2)

That's George, we bought him as company when Little Dave was 7 weeks old. George was 7 weeks old to. So at least there was no age problems. http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee483/David_Wainman/88fa1975-f761-49ca-aa68-bd34bb170dc9_zpsb35769c1.jpg http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee483/David_Wai...
