At the risk of lowering the tone again... I didn't know you could get a bus from Bluewater to Lakeside, carry on to Tilbury & then catch a ferry back to Kent? If it wasn't for the fact that I loathe going shopping, that could be a great day out!
This evening I went to close the Velux windows in my glass studio & spotted & heard a family of goldcrests in a conifer, begging food from mum. So cute, and the first time in 17 years that I've seen goldcrests in our garden. They were less than 6' from me, as I was upstairs at nearly treetop height....

I've finally managed to borrow a large wire dog crate in which to shut my broody Light Sussex. As someone who mainly keeps ex-batts, I've not had this issue before.
