Good advice from LadyA and Rick. i'd just like to add that you could consider changing the sawdust for something less dusty, such as Aubiose or wood shavings. And as Rick says, go easy with the diatom, or stop using it for a while now the hot weather and red mite season is largely over for the winte...

It'll be interesting to hear what the vet has to say, especially if it turns out to be feather related. Is she still moulting, or through the worst by now?

Some much-needed lovely rain here, nearly two inches, in Hampshire - has interrupted a paving project, but has made me take a morning indoors, cleaning the house properly after several weeks' hard work in the garden.
