Re: feeling determined!

I'm glad you're going to discuss this with your doctor tomorrow, LadyA. Dizziness, lightheadedness, and low blood pressure definitely need checking out, as they may be early signs of heart problems which shouldn't be ignored. And don't feel apologetic or allow yourself to under-describe how you feel...

Re: Advice needed

They'll be fine in the pet carriers, certainly better than getting into a panic and possibly getting in the way of the workmen. Put the carriers in a quiet shady place away from the work, provide water and something to nibble at, and just keep an eye on them.

Is there a way of having the ads on each page of a thread? They seem to only open on the start of threads. So often, I'll just go to "new posts" so if a thread has gone on to a second page, they won't be seen.
That sounds just great to me!

Re: Update - Google Ad experiment

I've only just noticed that Tim has actually given us the link to paying the web hosting site, in his second post, third para, where he says; 'I don't want to set up Paypal to pay me personally, I don't feel that's right. I would rather use the forum donation page with our web host - this can only b...

Re: Update - Google Ad experiment

Good ideas there, Tim. Let's do it! re (2); - I think this is an excellent plan, and would suggest removing the rather cutesy descriptions of members based on how many posts they've made ( 'Laying Well,' 'Part of the flock' etc) and replace with simple "Full Member" under usernames for those who hav...

Re: Update - Google Ad experiment

I agree, Tim, and as you know I've suggested this for some time. People choose to pay magazine subscriptions, don't they, and I don't see why we should expect the Forum to run for free at what I suspect is actually your expense, even if ads contribute to the cost. Perhaps if it were made clearer to ...

You should have more of an idea what's going on by Thursday, good idea to quarantine her. Good luck, let us know how she goes.

Do let us know how you get on. Your birds are very lucky, to have found such a caring home.

Re: Weird growths on chickens face [pics] [UPDATES]

From the other side of the Atlantic, and not being a vet, and not having seen your birds, I can only advise about what I would probably do, from my own experience, so please don't take my opinion as more than just that of a friend who has kept chickens for a few years. Really, the only way for you t...

Re: Weird growths on chickens face [pics] [UPDATES]

That doesn't sound too good, does it? When a previously active bird becomes lethargic, off her legs and off her food, she is usually quite seriously ill. I don't know about the head bobbing, but the beak gape seems to suggest there might be more tumours forming further down in the intestines. Mareks...
