I put freshly picked comfrey leaves around my tomatoes in the greenhout, within a week they've rotted down and disappeared. Last year I did it weekly instead of tomato feed ....worked for me, I don't think the tomato harvest suffered and it's not as smelly as the dreaded comfrey tea
Thank you, I have 5 ducks & a drake. Fertility is good, even with posted eggs, I'm sure it helps that I'm lucky enough to have a stream running through the garden.
I keep miniature appleyard ducks, they're great mothers ....the trick is getting them to nest where it's safe. Mine free range so that's not easy, however I have a small spare chicken/duck house. I keep it shut most of the time, a few years ago I left it open with bedding in expecting one of my bant...

I have 4 mini appleyard ducks & a drake that free range . I was contacted by someone desperate for fertile eggs, as they tend to lay all over the garden I penned them.....after 5 days I had 3 eggs ! Beautiful birds, I've only just become aware of this breed. I currently only keep / breed faverolles but these are very, very tempting I'm a sucker for a nicely muffled face !!
