goose killing gosling

have any members any ideas why a goose is killing her goslings with in a short time of hatching she sat ok hatched ok but then killed them,last year she hatched and reared ok what could cause this to happen ????

one way i use to see if eggs still have life in is to fill a bowl with warm water and put eggs in if still alive you should see movement in dont' leave eggs in more than a few seconds, if you don't want to try this leave in incubator for another day or two.

i'm wondering if members could help,i've a indian runner drake and the trouble is his penis will not go back in.until this happened he was treading ok ,had this happen to a kc drake a few yrs ago and he lasted another 3yrs with no side affects. this time i think i will have to dispatch said bird any...

i wonder if members could help a friend of mine who lives in australia has 3 banties trouble is 1 turned out to be a cockerel at present no complaints, is there any breed that is not so noisy as she would still like to have a cockerel

i would agree what chariefox says there seems to be that old saying them and us but i would like to say not all townies are like that some move to countryside to embrace the country way,by the way i'm country born and breed, a few years ago i had same trouble with 1 person complaining to council abo...

after posting my problem i sent a e-mail to indian runner club and reply i had was ducks for no apparent reason do this if left some where quiet normally get over it tried and glad to say she is now walking,dorsetduckowner have found a vet near me who is good with poultry if allowed to say found him...

yes tim all birds chicken ducks and geese have been wormed using flubenvet use garlic in water +acv,at moment no other seem to have same problem do you think best thing would be to cull we have a vet we use for dogs but she is not knowledgable on poultry

duck with leg trouble

can any member help one of my ducks has both legs stretched out behind,i was wondering if it could be duck paralysis have locked in duck books and other sites and it seems to affect young birds mine is four years old and have never had problems if it paralysis is there any treatment or is kind thing...

having hatched ducks before i've found that even at 7wks if birds are picked up females make a definite quack males make a noise like they have a sore throat
