have 3 1 week old call ducklings that have been hatched indoors artifically.....need some advice as to when they can be put outdoors. I have a secure pen and house but a tad worried it may be a bit cold for them yet. Should i wait a couple more weeks ? or are they hardy enough to go out now? I know that ducks live outside anyway but because they have been indoors until now i dont want them to become cold and ill. Thanks

They will need to stay under heat for a bit longer yet. Are you using a lamp or electric hen?
Ducklings usually come off heat quicker than chicks but its still pretty cold at night to put them outdoors.

Hiya :) I have week old mallards that are outside all day, but they have an indoor area with a heat lamp that they can access all day too, so if they get cold they can come in. I keep them under heat at night still as it is too cold for ducklings to be without heat at night and also during the day with a cold wind. They cant really come off heat until they have proper feathers but outside time is equally important for them to get the sunlight required for good bone development.
